In collaboration with Nymans Ur 1851, Panerai opened its first store in Scandinavia at Biblioteksgatan 1. Italian Panerai was founded in Florence in 1860 and is one of the most significant watchmakers when it comes to Italy, dive watches and military equipment. Originally created to be used deep underwater, Panerai watches are known for their unparalleled legibility and luminosity in the dark. The designs developed by Panerai, including the Luminor and Radiomir, were covered by the Military Secrets Act for many years. Today, Panerai develops and crafts its movements and watches at its Neuchâteltel manufacture. The latter is a seamless melding of Italian design flair and history with Swiss horological expertise.
