About Bibliotekstan

Biblioteksgatan runs through the heart of Bibliotekstan, but the shopping district also includes parts of Birger Jarlsgatan, Mäster Samuelsgatan, Smålandsgatan, Norrlandsgatan and Jakobsbergsgatan.

The name Bibliotekstan refers to Kungliga biblioteket (the National Library of Sweden), located just a stone’s throw away in nearby Humlegården. Biblioteksgatan got its name back in 1885 and has been a go-to destination for high-end shopping in Stockholm ever since.
